Summertime Giving

Youth volunteers stayed busy this summer and prepared Aloha Books for distributions and read to over 200 children this summer. They wrote letters to Veteran Frank who celebrated his 100th Birthday.

Retired Army Veteran Eddie Freeman was our special guest who talked to the group about the sacrifices that many made. Then volunteers showered flowers on the unknown graves at Punchbowl.

Volunteers met up with music producer/director Dwayne Andres to help direct the recordings for our newly published “First of School Mrs. Humuhumunukunukuapua’a”. and reading to over 200 kids. Thank you to our new partner, the JABSOM UH Manoa Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders (CSD) Speech Pathology Department. Mahalo to all volunteers for doing an amazing job this year!
